The full nominations for the 2005 OSCAs in the NatWest CricketForce category are detailed below:
Shifnal Cricket Club (Shropshire)
Shifnal CC carried out work to the value of £10,000 to improve the club and its facilities.
CricketForce provides the catalyst for initiatives such as running an additional Saturday league team, running an U4 age group, creating an Academy of Excellence for juniors, staging County junior matches and practice sessions, developing new links with the business community and the formation of an Under 13 girls' team.
Workington Cricket Club (Cumbria)
NatWest CricketForce 2005 was the catalyst that Workington needed.
Many volunteers have developed new skills and the results are unbelievable. Workington have made almost £70,000 worth of modifications and alterations.
Evelyn Hetherington (Nottinghamshire)
Evelyn has produced new strategies and policies for Blyth CC. She has coaxed several individuals into becoming volunteers and has persuaded local companies to support the club and its vision for the future.
She organises coaching sessions and arranges friendly games and coaching events throughout the summer holidays. Over the last six months she has developed a thriving girls section.
