The winner in this category was Peter Birkby - here receiving his award from England's Vikram Solanki
The full nominations for the 2005 OSCAs in the Make a Difference category are detailed below:
Peter Birkby (Yorkshire)
Peter has developed links with local charities, the local town council, trade unions and other local volunteer sports clubs, as well as keeping local businesses informed about the many events.
He has raised the profile of South Kirkby Colliery CC in the community by producing a regular newsletter and organising a community sports programme for the summer.
Jon Ridgway (Essex)
Jon worked tirelessly last season in his role as Hon Sec of Hutton CC to ensure that the club had a firm financial base on which to work.
He spent hours collaborating the club's bid for CCDF funding, drawing up business plans for the committee to discuss, and thanks to all his efforts the club has just received confirmation that the bid has been approved by the Government.
Keith Ashton (Hampshire)
Keith is now 73 and continues to work relentlessly for his club. He is the driving force behind the club attempting to achieve full ECB accreditation, as he recognises the benefits it will bring.
He has managed to raise £15,000 to provide Cove CC with two new cricket nets. The money has been provided via grants and sponsorship and Keith has single-handedly undertaken all of the responsibilities to raise this huge sum.
The OSCAs took place at Lord's in the Nursery Pavilion on Monday October 3
