Many Sports Partnerships around the country have someone responsible for the recruiting and placing of volunteers.
To find your local Sports Partnership log into www.activesports.org.uk and click on partnerships.
Visit them and take along your role description. Ask them to help you find the right person for the job.
Sport England is working with 45 such Partnerships. These groups will coordinate local
resources and provide a range of services to help sports with their development and training programmes.
This will include the recruitment and placement of volunteers in your area. They will ensure the activities are of the highest standard and that they are reaching people in every part of their area.
They are presently setting up Action Groups for each of the sports. These Action Groups will be made up of people who have local knowledge and the expertise to make sure that Sports Partnerships work in their area and for their sport.
