The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has invited nominations for the position of chairman of the cricket committee to serve until March 31, 2010.
Any candidate requires a proposer and two seconders from the MCC or first-class counties.
The closing date for nominations will be Wednesday, December 19, 2007.
If there is more than one candidate a ballot will be required. This will be conducted by Electoral Reform Society in early January and the closing date for the ballot will be January 16, 2008.
If there is only one candidate and therefore no need for a ballot the endorsement process will be carried out early in the New Year with responses being required by 12 noon on January 16, 2008
The successful candidate will succeed Dennis Amiss who was recently elected as ECB deputy chairman.
