The ECB has announced that England players involved in the fourth npower Test against South Africa will be rested from the next round of LV County Championship fixtures starting tomorrow.
Ravi Bopara and Alastair Cook will both be available to Essex for the Friends Provident Trophy final against Kent this Saturday at Lord’s. The full programme of player availability is as follows:
James Anderson/Andrew Flintoff (Lancashire) – Unavailable for the LVCC fixture v Yorkshire (Aug 12-15).
Tim Ambrose/Ian Bell (Warwickshire) – Unavailable for LVCC fixture v Essex (Aug 12-15).
Stuart Broad/Ryan Sidebottom (Nottinghamshire) – Unavailable for LVCC fixture v Durham (Aug 12-15).
Paul Collingwood (Durham) - Unavailable for LVCC fixture v Nottinghamshire (Aug 12-15) and NatWest Pro40 v Nottinghamshire (Aug 19). Available for NatWest Pro40 v Worcestershire (Aug 24).
Alastair Cook (Essex) – Unavailable for LVCC fixture v Warwickshire. Available for FPT final v Kent (Aug 16).
Ravi Bopara (Essex) - Unavailable for LVCC fixture v Warwickshire (due to selection for England Lions). Available for FPT final v Kent (Aug 16).
Stephen Harmison (Durham)- Unavailable for LVCC fixture v Nottinghamshire (Aug 12-15). Available for rest of domestic season.
Monty Panesar (Northamptonshire) Available for rest of domestic season.
Kevin Pietersen (Hampshire) Unavailable for NatWest Pro40 v Sussex (Aug 13).
