The ECB has announced that Jack Simmons has been formally endorsed by the full membership of ECB as the new chairman of cricket.
The Lancashire chairman was elected to the post following a ballot of the 18 first-class counties and MCC.
In the ballot, which was conducted by the Electoral Reform Society, Jack Simmons received 12 votes and the Durham chairman, Clive Leach, seven votes.
Simmons succeeds Dennis Amiss in the post following his recent election as ECB deputy chairman.
