Former Australia paceman Jason Gillespie is set to return to the Glamorgan line-up for the LV County Championship Division Two match against promotion hopefuls Northamptonshire at Wantage Road.
Gillespie has missed the Welsh County’s last two championship outings with a hamstring strain but has played in their three most recent games, all in the NatWest Pro40.
The 33-year-old was named in the last championship squad, that drew with Gloucestershire 10 days ago at the SWALEC Stadium, but did not make the starting XI.
Lance Klusener takes over the Northamptonshire captaincy for the visit of Glamorgan, with Nicky Boje out with a hamstring injury.
Monty Panesar returns to the side after his Test duties with England and fills the vacant role of spinner nicely, alongside Jason Brown.
Alex Wakely has been named as 12th man, with the batting positions taken by Stephen Peters, Rob White, David Sales and Riki Wessels.
