Leicestershire have been given a financial boost ahead of the new season by signing a five-figure sponsorship deal.
The county have agreed a unique package with online betting company Betrescue.com, who also offer members the chance to generate income for the club.
Every time members and supporters click through to the Betrescue website using the link from www.leicestershireccc.co.uk they will add to the lucrative agreement with the sports betting specialists.
Fans will earn a further £10 for the club with each subscription to the ANTEPOST, which costs £19.99.
“This is a fantastic sponsorship deal in which the club and our loyal followers can be winners all round,” said Leicestershire chief executive Paul Maylard-Mason.
“Not only are Betrescue backing us with a substantial sponsorship package, they are offering members and supporters of the club the chance to have a flutter through our website link to their odds comparisons service and, in doing so, they will be earning us additional income each time they place a bet.
“Therefore, if you fancy having a bet on us winning the Twenty20 Cup again, HD Ackerman being the leading run-scorer in the Second Division of the Championship or indeed anything sports-related, then doing this via our Betrescue.com link-up will be of enormous benefit to the club.”
Jonathan Shepherd, director of Betrescue, said: “As a rapidly expanding company in the sports betting business, we are delighted to be associated with a club that has such a proud tradition and a fantastic record in the Twenty20 Cup.
“Certainly, the interest in this competition has helped to reinvigorate betting on cricket.”
