Middlesex have recalled batsman Billy Godleman to their squad for the LV County Championship game against Gloucestershire at Lord’s.
Godleman missed the draw with Leicestershire in the county’s previous championship outing but replaces Dan Housego at the top of the order.
Spinner Shaun Udal will captain Middlesex in the continued absence of injured skipper Ed Smith while Owais Shah, who signed a new deal with the club recently, is away on England duty.
Rock-bottom Gloucestershire welcome back batsman Alex Gidman to their ranks after he was rested in the draw against Northamptonshire last month.
The visitors are yet to record a win in the championship this season and lie two points adrift of eighth-placed Glamorgan.
