The opening day of Glamorgan’s LV County Championship Division Two match against Gloucestershire at the Swalec Stadium was abandoned without a ball bowled.

Play was called off by the umpires, Barry Dudleston and Mike Harris, after a second inspection at 3pm.

Early morning rain did the damage with the bowlers’ run-ups at the River Taff end not having dried sufficiently for play to go ahead.
