Local businessman Martyn Price has been elected chairman of Worcestershire.
The 60-year-old, more commonly known as Percy, is a lifelong supporter of the county and has been a member of the board for almost a year.
Price, who led the group charged with putting together the multi-million pound redevelopment plans for New Road, takes over from John Elliott.
“It is a huge honour to be elected to this position and I look forward to working with all those groups and organisations with an interest in Worcestershire Cricket over the coming years,” Price said.
“My predecessor, John Elliott, has left the club in a very good position both on and off the field and we are now entering a very exciting period for the club."
Dave Broughall has been elected vice-chairman and Tim Curtis, who joined the board last month, has been elected to the contingencies and remunerations committee.
