Somerset have released seam bowlers Simon Francis and Michael Parsons but new deals have been offered to Keith Parsons and Neil Edwards.
A decision has been deferred on Richard Johnson, the other player whose contract expires this summer.
Twenty-eight-year-old Simon Francis has been at Somerset for four years after signing from Hampshire and his brother John later followed him to Taunton.
Simon Francis earnt a place at the ECB National Academy, but has struggled to hold down a first team place in recent times.
Michael Parsons, 21, broke into the Somerset first team as a teenager a couple of years ago, but has not featured this season.
Keith Parsons and Edwards have yet to agree terms but are expected to sign their contracts.
