Tickets for England’s NatWest Series international against New Zealand at the Riverside have sold out but there are still places available for the first NatWest international Twenty20 to be held at Durham's home between England and South Africa.
That match takes place on Wednesday 20 August following the clash with the Black Caps on Sunday 15 June when over 15,000 fans will fill all available seats for England’s first visit to the north east this summer.
Durham chief executive, David Harker, said: “It’s been great to see the level of support that the region’s sports fans have given to England’s visits to the region this summer.
"The ODI is the first opportunity for our supporters to support Paul Collingwood at his home ground in his role as one-day captain and to do this in front of a sell out crowd will be pretty special.
“There are still tickets left for the NatWest international Twenty20 match and with Twenty20 cricket becoming such a force in world cricket we’re expecting the remaining tickets to be snapped up pretty quickly. South Africa are joint top in the one-day rankings and we’re expecting this match to be explosive.”
Tickets for the Twenty20 match against South Africa are priced from £35 for adults and £10 for juniors. They can be purchased online at www.durhamccc.co.uk or by calling the box office on 0844 499 4466.
