Test series sponsor, npower, is partnering with Old Trafford, Trent Bridge and Edgbaston to brighten up cricket for thousands of fans who buy tickets for family stands at these venues during the forthcoming npower Tests.
On day three at Old Trafford and day four at both Trent Bridge and Edgbaston, children with tickets to the enclosures will each receive a free npower gift bag containing various items to help them fully enjoy their day at the cricket.
All kids within the enclosure will each be given an npower t-shirt and sunscreen lotion. Other goodies to be handed out will include a free seat cushion and even complimentary ice creams at tea for the kids.
Each enclosure will also have strict alcohol restrictions. Sponsor npower is supportive of fans enjoying their day at the cricket and this initiative aims to help everyone enjoy their cricket experience, whether it be wearing fancy dress on a Saturday or a day in the Family Stand, npower is fully behind fans whichever way they decide to spend their day within the cricket ground.
The ECB have been working in partnership with county and international venues to protect the unique atmosphere and spirit of cricket in England and Wales for the benefit of all spectators, players and officials.
"The ECB have been working with venues to ensure that parents can take their children to major matches in this country and enjoy the game in an appropriate environment, free of alcohol," said Gordon Hollins, ECB's Head of Venue Partnerships.
"We are therefore delighted that npower are supporting some major venues with this initiative."
Kevin Peake, Head of Marketing at npower, is happy to be involved in the initiative.
"We're delighted to sponsor the family enclosures," he said. "A Test is a special event and npower is committed to making this a great day out for the whole family. Although Trent Bridge has been successfully running their Family Stand since 2005, this partnership shows our ongoing support to the grounds to help make cricket a fun day for all."
