Muchalls in for Northumberland

Northumberland begin their Minor Counties Championship programme with a home game against Norfolk at Jesmond.

Brothers Paul and Matthew Muchall will feature for the first time this season, while former Bedfordshire all-rounder David Myers is set to make his debut.

Captain Phil Nicholson will play as a specialist batsman due to an ongoing finger problem, allowing Richard Coughtrie to continue as wicketkeeper.

Still smarting from a five-run defeat against the same county three weeks ago in the MCCA Knockout Trophy, Northumberland will be keen to reverse the result.
