Tunbridge Wells squeezed through to the Portman Building Society U15 National Club Championship national finals after inflicting a four-run victory over 2005 finallists Horsham in a nail-biter of a decider.
The regional final took place at Horsham Cricket Club in glorious sunshine in stark contrast to previous ties in the competition that have been rain affected.
In the morning the two semi-finals were played with Tunbridge Wells (Kent) easing past Hadleigh & Thundersley (Essex) and Slough struggling against the hosts.
The final was a pulsating affair that went down to the very last ball with Horsham needing a six to win the game but the batsmen could only muster two leaving the Kent side triumphant and in sight of the ultimate prize at the National Finals at Bournemouth Cricket Club on Wednesday August 22.
