Warks girls travel to Cape Town

Following in the footsteps of the boys' Academy, Warwickshire Under 19 Girls will be embarking on their first ever international tournament.

They are set to travel to Cape Town in April where they will play seven matches in 11 days as part of the first ever International U19 Festival organised by Western Province Cricket Association .

The 14 girls and management team will leave for Cape Town on April 5 and compete against Western Province, Boland, Western Districts, Somerset and Derbyshire in a six-team, round-robin tournament

• Wed April 5 - Depart WCCC 15:30 - 2105 Departure LHRT1
• Thurs April 6 - Arrive CPT 0955 transfer to Bishops School - Settle in - Afternoon recovery swim and practice - Evening team meal at Bishops - Evening at waterfront
• Friday April 7 - Practice Match v Western Province Dev XI - Evening team meeting and visit to Grand West Entertainment Centre
• Sat April 8 - Morning practice session - Afternoon Greenmarket Square and visit to Cape Peninsula - Evening Tournament Reception at Bishops for competing teams
• Sun April 9 - Match 1 - Evening at Waterfront
• Mon April 10 - Visit to Table Mountain (morn) - Evening at Bishops - Team meeting
• Tue April 11 - Match 2 - Swim recovery meeting at Ratanga Junction / Bishops School
• Wed April 12 - Match 3 - Swim recovery and evening at Waterfront
• Thurs April 13 - Visit to Wine Route plus lunch - Afternoon at the beach
• Fri April 14 - Play-off (1st v 4th, 2nd v 3rd, 5th v 6th) Match 4
• Sat April 15 - Morning practice and Match 5 (play-off) - Final under lights
• Sun April 16 - Day off - Depart 1610 CPT-JHB then 2005 to LHR
