England women's off-spinner Jo Watts has engaged the help of Kent University in an attempt to regain her international place following injury.
Nineteen-year-old Watts is one of the University’s sports scholars and was a member of the England side who took on Australia last summer following tours of Sri Lanka and India, before injuries and a bout of glandular fever left her sidelined.
During the visit to the University’s centre for sports studies staff worked on Watts’ muscle strength and and cardiovascular fitness, as well as assessing the power of her bowling arm.
Watts was a member of the Kent women’s team who won last season’s Liverpool Victoria County Championship.
