Australia all-rounder Andrew Symonds believes India’s cricketers have gone overboard in their celebrations after winning the ICC World Twenty20.
India beat Australia in the semi-finals on their way to winning the inaugural tournament, sparking wild celebrations across the sub-continent, and Symonds believes that will spur his team-mates on in the forthcoming one-day series between the two nations.
“Something has been sparked inside of me, watching them carry on over the last few days,” he said.
“Watching how we celebrate and how they celebrate, I think we have been pretty humble.
“They have got far too carried away. It has definitely sparked passion inside of us.”
