The 2011 World Cup is set to be made up with 14 teams from across the globe, in a shortened format compared to the 2007 tournament in West Indies.
The competition is due to take place in Pakistan, Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka, with the detailed format, venues and schedule expected to be finalised soon.
The 10 full members qualify automatically for the event with the remaining four places going to the semi-finalists of the World Cup qualifier, which will take place in Dubai in 2009.
The Champions Trophy is set to be staged in Pakistan between 11 to 28 September.
It will be played in three venues across the country, which are yet to be finalised.
A full independent security assessment of the situation in Pakistan will be conducted in June.
