
Charlotte Edwards guided Kent to title success in the 2006 and 2007 LV Women's County Championship There are many independent women’s clubs throughout England and Wales, and a growing number of men's clubs with women's sections.
A strong league structure leads up to the Premier League (North and South) with an annual system of promotion and relegation; while there is also the National Knock-Out Cup.
The major county competition is the LV Women's County Championship, with Kent having taken the honours in 2006 for the first time - and defended their title in 2007.
The Super Fours bridges the gap for the elite players between domestic and international competition.
